(Dance Deluxe Owner)

Hi, I am Alexis! I have been dancing since I was 3 years old in Mesa, Arizona where I was born and raised. I started my dance journey studying one of my most favorite styles…tap, under the influence of Bridget McCarter until I was 7 years old. I then auditioned into the competitive team at Turning Pointe Academy of Dance. I continued my growth as a dancer by adding ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and musical theater to my list of dance styles studied while continuing my knowledge in tap. When I attended Dobson High School, I became involved in Varsity Pomline and the Dobson Dance Company each year I attended Dobson. From demonstrating great efforts of dedication and leadership, I was named pom captain and president of the dance company my senior year. This made me realize not only my love for dancing, but also for choreographing and teaching. At the age of 14 I started my first assisting and teaching under the staff of Club Dance Studio,  where I had also been dancing in their Senior Company. While there, I taught numerous styles of dance to kids as young as two years old to teens. I continued my passion for teaching dancers at Just Dance Studio, where I was the Artistic director and received choreography awards, the last few years. My favorite part about teaching is sharing my passion of dance with my students while watching them not only grow as a dancer, but as a person. I have now graduated from Arizona State University while pursing a degree in early childhood  education with the Mary Lou Fulton’s Teachers College.
